How to Get Your Real Estate Website to Rank
Getting your Real Estate website to rank at the top of page one in the search engines can be a challenge. It is easier now to have a personal Real Estate website, but what can you do to rank higher? There isn’t a one-two punch to make it happen, however I do have some ideas to help you. SEO or search engine optimization, is a complex topic but, there are some things that you can do on your own to help your ranking.
What do you want your Real Estate website to Rank for?
What is your area of expertise? Perhaps you are interested in Century homes or maybe new builds; it might be commercial real estate. This will form the most important key phrase you will need. We will talk about your key phrase later in the article. Search engines must understand what your website is about. That means you need to put words on the page for them to interpret. Go ahead and review your home page and ask yourself what information is on this page that will help search engines figure out who I am and what I do.
Does your real estate platform have a Blog?
If it does then use it! Write articles about topics buyers and sellers are interested in. Write articles covering topics other sites do not. If you have no idea what to write about, use the internet to research topics. Show off your expertise and be bold. And make sure you use your key phrase properly. Moreover, ensure you link from the homepage to your articles. Doing this helps search engines find all the pages on your site and make sense of who you are and what you do.
What is a focus key phrase or keyword?
When someone sits down to do a search they will use a group of words to help them find what they’re looking for. You want them to find you based on what you have picked for a keyphrase. It is enough to use the keyphrase 2 or 3 times in a post. There is a balance between a good article that makes sense to you reader and giving search engines enough information.
Content is King
Search engines won’t find you if your website is only pictures and a menu. You don’t have to be a ‘blogger’ but you do have to give the search engines a way to know who you are, what you do and where you are in the world.
